an intro to lavender sunrise

 

A rose petal sky, furled at the edges with winter blue, casting light and romantic ideals on those below. Ethereal, yet ephemeral. I'll always remember that day's dawn. Like snowflakes, no two sunrises are the same. A lavender sunrise is rare in itself, and the feeling of beauty that day is next to impossible to replicate again. 

I chase after lavender sunrises. I chase after that feeling—one of peace and contentment. Yeah, like any other girl in this modern age, I've chased after beauty itself. A certain look, certain features that had to be meticulously crafted. It's exhausting—and took me further away from what I really wanted. I've learned that the feeling that my idea of beauty brings is what I really coveted. Confidence and happiness—which aren't just feelings, but a feat to achieve. A rare one, in fact.  

Rarity always has an alluring appeal to it. I wanted to create this blog because I love a challenge. I love a chase. I love striving to be my best self, because self-care and self-love are never one-and-done things to check off a to-do list. These are habits that are improved and tested upon. These are habits that are ultimately one of the hardest skills in life to master. This isn't just another beauty/fashion/lifestyle blog. lavender sunrise is a blog for the ones who are unique versions of the younger me. Those who maybe adore DIY-ing sugar scrubs, obsess over shades of purple, and find delight in putting together the perfect outfit. Those who possess the will to improve themselves, the insatiable curiosity to learn more, and the determination to be the best they can be. lavender sunrise is made for people who aspire to experience a new dawn in their lives.
